Sovereignty

Current Regional Hosting
The Janus API does not currently support multi-region processing. All operations for versions v2020-04 and v2022-10 run in an East US data center. Certain functions that do not handle customer data operate in the Central Canada region. Full support for sovereign data processing and storage for all customer-data functions is on our roadmap.

Future Plans
MHS will implement infrastructure to ensure customer data remains sovereign. While the current Service Provider API releases include ComputeProvider and StorageProvider objects, these are not yet active. Their specifications are defined now to avoid future breaking changes.

Default Region and Policy
The default region for processing and storage is East US. Any restrictions to specific geographic regions or custom storage policies must be agreed upon in a licensing agreement before runtime support can be provided. Processing outside the default region may incur additional charges.
